By applying to be added to our Contractor List, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
Terms and Conditions
- Any contract exists between the client and the contractor and there are no contractual obligations between the contractor and Homewise.
- Written quotations must be provided (not verbal).
- The client will be kept informed of start and finish dates as well as any changes in cost, supply of goods, dates, etc.
- Works to be carried out in a clean, workmanlike fashion with proper preparation e.g. dust sheets, etc.
- Client’s property and possessions to be respected at all times and any special needs to be taken into account.
- Payment will be made at the end of the job on production of an invoice and, if required by the client, after an inspection has been made by Homewise Technical Officer.
- The contractor will instruct the client on how to use and maintain any new equipment or facilities.
- A proper receipt will be provided on receipt of payment.
- Any disputes with the client should be referred to Homewise for arbitration.
- If any defects do arise in the works carried out, the contractor will be required to attend to remedy these should Homewise Technical Officer so decide.
- Adequate relevant insurance is to be maintained.
- The contractor is responsible for Health and Safety policies and practices, for advising clients of any risks and ensuring the safety of the site/home whilst works are in progress. The contractor must ensure that vulnerable clients are given special consideration including liaising with carers, family, etc. It is imperative that safe working conditions are maintained throughout the day and at the end of each day the site should be left clean, tidy and free from hazard to the occupants.
